During her State Visit to India, Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited Incofin CVSO investee, Fusion Microfinance. Queen Mathilde not only met with Fusion staff, but also engaged with some of its clients (100% female entrepreneurs ), who shared their experiences of how the micro credit loans offered by Fusion has helped transform their lives.

Due to the loans, the three women were able to expand their operations in their respective clothing, carpet and football manufacturing businesses. The support from Fusion has also allowed them to empower their lives, with more status in the household and the ability to send their children to school.

Incofin’s first investment in Fusion occurred in 2010 via its fund, RIF II, when Fusion had just established and only had 3 branches. Incofin made its second investment in Fusion in 2017, via Incofin CVSO, whereby the fund invested EUR 4m to support Fusion’s geographical expansion.

Today Fusion serves more than 700.000 clients and has over 330 branches within India. The visit by Queen Mathilde is a recognition of the hard work by Fusion and Incofin in the last 7 years and reflects the values of our company.
