Jan Dewijngaert is Regional Director EECA & Director Private Equity. EECA stands for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. He is responsible for coordinating Incofin’s entire EECA portfolio, both debt and equity.

Jan has 4 years of experience in impact investing and is a Board member of several financial institutions including Crystal (Georgia), Inecobank (Armenia), Arnur Credit (Kazakhstan) and Arvand (Tadjikistan). He is also member of the Supervisory Board of FIEC (Financial Inclusion Equity Council). He joined Incofin in 2015 as Director Private Equity.

Prior to Incofin, Jan was a partner at Gimv, a European Private Equity firm. While at Gimv, he founded and managed 7 funds that focused on investments in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia and Kazakhstan.  He was a member of the Investment Committee of 10 private equity funds and a regular speaker on international conferences on private equity in CEE. Prior to Gimv, he worked as an advisor on international loans at KBC Bank in Brussels, New York and Bremen.

Jan holds a Msc. in Construction Engineering and in Industrial Policy at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium). He also followed the Advanced Management Program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
