Rita Van den Abbeel is a microfinance specialist and one of the co-founders of Incofin. She is responsible to organize the second line of control at IIM by instilling a risk sensitive culture in line with the AIFM licensed mandate.  She is well versed in performing credit reviews of investment proposals, analysing & monitoring several types of risks: country, markets, portfolio quality, counterparty, AML-CFT, COI…, dealing with recovery of stressed transactions. She is a BOD member of MFX Solutions.

Rita studied Agricultural Engineering (Master in Agronomy) at the Catholic University of Louvain and an Executive class of Financial Management at the University Antwerp Management School. She speaks Dutch, English, French and Kiswahili and has a fair ability to express in German.
